October Hens Begin to Lay

The hens that we received as chicks at the end of October began laying eggs today. Three of the hens played eggs. One egg looked like a ping pong ball, unfortunately I did not get a photo of it as the wall of the egg was thin and as the student was handling it it broke.  There also was not yoke in the egg. I did observe one of the Plymouth Barred Rock hens lay an egg.
