HHS and the Upland USD have become partners in that HHS takes the green waste from the various schools in the district and use to feed our animals. To date the photo shows one of the larger deliveries to the farm from the district.

Installation of Hand Wash Table
Students for the past week have been working on retrofitting an existing garden table and adding a sink to the table. The work took place in the construction area in front of room 14. This morning the table was taken out to the farm and placed most likely in its final resting spot. It is placed in front of the new four legged critter house
April 23 Chicks placed in Fram Coop
On Thursday we placed the seven chicks that hatched on April 23 out into the farm coop stall. Unfortunately, something got into their cage and we lost two of the birds. We have brought them back into the classroom. As of today, the chicks are 20 days old. Note to self, do not bring birds out to the outdoor coop until at least the end of the fourth week.
