Something is eating the Broccoli!

I planted Broccoli at both HHS and at home. The Broccoli at home had been growing better than at HHS until two days ago I noticed that the leaves on the Broccoli plants were being eaten. I set a camera up two nights ago because I thought it may be grubs eating the plants. Upon review of the video nothing was happening to the plants at night.  So I set the camera up the next day during the day. What caught me by surprise is that I had been working in my backyard all day and did not notice the critters chewing on the leaves. So it turned out to be squirrels!

May 1 Update

With the warm weather the past two weeks, temperatures ave. in the 80's with a high of 96. The plants perked up!

This week made an effort to transplant plants that were propagating on their own. I moved 16 tomato plants into the center raised garden area. I moved multiple bean plants along the trellis. I moved a couple of zucchini plants and strawberry plants.

About 60 strawberry plants were moved from one area of the garden and placed into individual containers and placed in one of the raised planters. With the school shut down, the school lawn has not been moved in about four weeks and the weeds in the lawn are starting to bloom. In addition, the area in the garden with the strawberries is the last area to be weeded due to not wanting to damage the strawberries.
