Last year we attempted to use wood pallets and Orange plastic fencing to keep the chickens out of the raised gardens. The problem was it also made it difficult for us humans to get into the raised planter areas as well. This year we found a simple method of using PVC pipe in a crisscross manner to hold the bird netting and should be effective at keeping the chickens out of the garden!
This is the idea.
