Without kids on our campus, not much work is happening in the garden. I did not plant anything in the garden since the peppers in October. In December I opened the garden to the chickens to help weed. Earlier this week I moved a lot of "stuff" that had been stored in the garden since March 2020. This stuff, hoses, lights were moved into storage in the coop. Things like plastic planters were dumped.
Earlier in the month, I moved the outdoor sink and tables into the chicken coop after moving out three chicken/goat stalls. I also modified the water line inside the coop. I added 4 water drops.
I had 3 chicks hatch this month. These chicks were a part of an experiment. In early January I walked to my local farmers market and picked up some eggs. When using the eggs it appeared that the eggs had been fertilized, but I was wrong. I had placed these three eggs in along with the others so I could candle and check on progress. About day 10 it was determined that that the farmer market eggs were not fertile and they were removed. These hatched!
