6 New Silkie Chicks Hatch

Starting yesterday 4/2 we had six new silkie chicks hatch.  Back in Feb/Mar we had Boy George our black silkie visit Mrs. Havers home White female Silke. She brought back 10 eggs. We determined eight were fertile. From the eight we hatched six silkies.

On another note we had six additional eggs in the incubator as well. Today April 3 a few of the eggs were starting to pip. We introduced these six eggs to the momma Brahma hen who began brooding on her own eggs. More on this later. Four  blue eggs and two white eggs were placed under the Momma Brahma.

And the baby goats continue to grow!
